MUIR BEACH, Calif. (AP) -- A Novato man missing since last week has been found dead on a Marin County beach.
Golden Gate National Recreation Area spokeswoman Ozola Cody says the body of David Allan Scott was found around 8 a.m. Monday on a stretch of rocky shoreline near Muir Beach.
Cody says Stinson Beach lifeguards using a Zodiac watercraft recovered Scott's body.
Novato police Lt. John McCarthy says the 29-year-old Scott had been reported missing by his family Saturday night. He was last seen Thursday.
His car was found parked nearby, just off Highway 1.
McCarthy says police have no information to indicate Scott may have been "at risk." An autopsy is planned for Tuesday.
