They've endured brutal working conditions, violent political upheaval, and a withering drought.  For the last five years, a team of doctors from San Francisco has been working in sub-Saharan Africa to try to stop the spread of AIDS and to train Africans to fight the epidemic themselves.

KCBS reporter Doug Sovern takes us on a journey to Kenya and Uganda for their story, which has never been told before.

Listen to KCBS All News 740AM and 106.9FM for this exclusive KCBS Cover Story Special: AIDS In Africa: Faces of Hope.
