SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KCBS) -- The man who owned one of America's most successful minor league baseball franchises has died.
Art Savage, 58, the Sacramento River Cats owner, had been battling lung cancer for the past two years, despite being a non-smoker.
The River Cats broke attendance records year after year during Savage's highly successful ten years as owner of the Oakland A's Triple A farm club.
Savage was also the first president of the San Jose Sharks.
