SAN JOSE, Calif. (KCBS) - One of Silicon Valley's strongest economy sectors is clean technology. And, San Jose's mayor believes 2010 is the year the future of clean tech catches up with the now.
Mayor Chuck Reed believes 2010 will be a breakthrough year for the local clean tech industry. "We have a lot of clean tech companies that have sprouted here," Reed offered. "I believe they're going to start growing and hiring people in this new year of 2010. I'm hopeful that the Department of Energy loan guarantees are going to be processed and distributed out. We have many companies in San Jose that are waiting for that in order to expand their factories and hire new people."
