REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (KCBS/AP) - Governor Schwarzenegger was in the Bay Area today to sign a bill that makes it against the law for teenagers to use any sort of electronic device while driving.
The prohibition includes cell phones, text messaging devices, laptop computers, pagers, walkie-talkies and handheld computers, even if they are equipped with "hands-free" features.
According to the American Automobile Association, at least 15 states and the District of Columbia have passed similar bans.
