EASTON, Pa. (AP) Rob Curley threw for 373 yards and a
school-record seven touchdown passes to lead Lafayette to a 56-49
victory over Colgate on Saturday.
Every one of Lafayette's touchdowns came on scoring passes from
Curley, a senior who was 18-for-31 and set a career high for
passing yards in a game.
He outdueled Colgate running back Nate Eachus, who rushed for
216 yards and five touchdowns on 45 carries.
Curley, who entered the game leading the Patriot League in pass
efficiency with a 155.4 rating, threw his first scoring pass, a
45-yarder to Michael Bolton with 9:29 left in the first quarter.
The Leopards (8-1, 4-0 Patriot League) led 27-21 at halftime,
but Colgate (8-2, 3-2) tied the score at 42 on Greg Sullivan's
32-yard touchdown pass to Gigi Cadet with 10:34 left in the game.
Lafayette took a 56-42 lead as Curley threw two fourth-quarter
touchdown passes.
